Kindergarten Registration for the 2025 - 26 School Year

- Kindergarten Applications (Fall 2026) -
- PS 127 Kindergarten Open Houses – Wednesday, November 19th at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 am or Monday, January 12th at 9:00 am.
- Beginning December 9th, children born in 2021 can apply to kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year.
- The application deadline is Friday, January 23, 2026. All families who apply by the deadline will receive a kindergarten offer on approximately Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
- All families should participate in kindergarten admissions, including children currently attending pre-K, students with disabilities, English Language Learners, and students with accessibility needs.
- Families can apply to Kindergarten in one of three ways, online at MySchools Opens in a new browser tab, over the phone by calling 718-935-2009 or by visiting their local Family Welcome Centers. To learn more about this year's kindergarten admissions process, visit the official "Kindergarten" webpage at schools.nyc.gov/K.
- Families can also apply to Gifted & Talented (G&T) and Dual Language programs using the kindergarten application. MySchools Opens in a new browser tab
- MySchools.nycOpens in a new browser tab includes an online directory tool that allows families to view school open house info, explore program choices, save programs of interest, and submit their application, all on the same site

Spring 2025 Information
Registration is in person and by appointment only. Please call Mrs. Sciove in the Main Office at (718) 833-2323 extension 1041 to make an appointment.
Families have until TBD to accept or decline their offer by either contacting Mrs. Sciove or by going on the myschools.nyc website. If you would like to add your child to our waitlist, you may do so via myschools.nyc.
In order to register your child, you must have the following with you:
- the CHILD you are registering
- the offer letter or email you received from the DOE
- the child’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE or PASSPORT
- TWO proofs of residence
- the child’s IMMUNIZATION RECORD
- Individualized Education Program (IEP) and/or 504 Accommodation Plan (if applicable and available)
You must have all of the above information in order to register – we cannot register a student who is missing any documents. Be advised that photo ID is required at all times to enter our school building.
To complete your child’s registration, you must also complete a registration packet. In order to save time, you can print out the registration packet below and bring the completed packet to your registration appointment. Otherwise, one can be filled out in the main office. The health form should be brought to your child’s pediatrician and must be returned during the first week of school (immunization record is still required for registration). Please be sure that all forms are signed, dated where indicated and filled out completely.
